Travel to Ireland for vacations
Ireland's attractions are mainly its great landscape and friendly people.
In both the Northern Ireland and the Republic Ireland, they offer a great
rain-hazed loughs and wild coastlines, great conversation and wealth of
traditional music fills the air. Ireland's cities may have been
transformed by the economic growth but the rural landscape have largely
remains relatively unchanged.
Most visitors go to western Ireland for its coastline and islands,
especially Aran which offers vertiginous cliffs, boulder-strewn wastes
and violent mountains. Less spectacular in the interior of Ireland but
however, one could find pastures and low wooded hills which are the
classic landscapes in the southern Ireland.
Euro ( €), is
the currency used in the Republic while the Northern Ireland uses the
pound sterling (£).
Standard banking hours are Monday - Friday 10am-4pm in the Republic while
Northern Ireland is Monday - Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Automated Teller
Machines (ATMs) could be found throughout Ireland though not in all
villages. And most major cards are accepted in most places.
